Nilson Luis López Díaz, born into a family of coffee growers in 1978, has inherited a deep tradition of excellence in coffee.
After the untimely death of his father in 2003, he took over the reins of management of the historic family farm, El Bado.
In 2012, El Bado received the honor of being awarded the prestigious Southern Colombia Cup of Excellence, recognizing the superior quality of its coffee beans.
Ten years ago, Nilson decided to expand his personal legacy by starting the San Antonio Plantation.
What started as a modest project has grown into a thriving and renowned coffee farm.
In addition to producing high-quality coffee, Nilson diversified his crops, adding tomatoes, beans, peas, corn and bananas.
This approach not only promotes self-sufficiency, but also helps maintain a healthy environment by providing shade and valuable nutrients for the soil.
Lida Cielo, daughter of another iconic grower, Don López, inherited a passion for coffee from a young age.
Raised among coffee plants and inspired by her father's unwavering dedication, Lida chose to follow in his footsteps.
Through observing and learning from his father's innovative methodologies, he developed a deep understanding of the intricacies of specialty coffee production.
Today, together with Nilson, she shares her commitment and experience with her daughters, Luisa and Laura, ensuring that the family legacy continues to thrive for generations to come.
This story of passion, tradition and innovation continues to define Finca San Antonio Honey Alcoholic Fermentation coffee.
