Roasting, filter, ibrik, espresso: our competitions
We take Tomassicoffee to the Italian and world coffee championships. Here you’ll find our results, what each competition is about and the people who compete with us.
Competitions force us to do better what we do every day: choosing the coffee, roasting it, brewing it and explaining it to whoever tastes it. What we learn on stage comes back to the roastery — in our roast profiles, in the recipes we suggest, in the coffees we choose.
Roasting: you assess a green coffee, design its roast profile and roast it; the judges taste the result. Brewers: filter coffee brewed by hand. Ibrik: Turkish-style coffee, brewed in the cezve. Barista: espresso, milk drinks and a signature drink, served to the judges against the clock.

Our results, year by year
Emanuele, Italian Roasting Champion. Italy heads to the Worlds: finishing in the top 10.
Italian Roasting Champion again and 6th overall at the Worlds.
