A coffee that tells the story of the forests of northern Thailand
In the mountains of Chiang Mai province, amidst dense forests and remote villages, the Hom Hoh Coffee project was born: a cooperative of 14 families led by Manop, a farmer and community leader. The members manage approximately 40 hectares of Arabica plantations, cultivated using an agroforestry system: the coffee grows immersed in the forest, among mango, banana, and other local botanical species, in a living and balanced ecosystem.
This synergy between environment and cultivation creates coffees with a rich and distinct aromatic profile. The varieties used—Caturra, Catuai, Typica, and a rare Thai Geisha—are perfectly adapted to the mountain climate, producing complex and surprising cups.
The natural method: spontaneous fermentation under the forest sun
After being handpicked, the cherries are left to ferment whole, without mechanical control or additives. Drying takes place on raised beds under the sun, within the forest itself, in an environment where light, humidity, and biodiversity directly contribute to aromatic development.
The process is slow and respectful, designed to bring out the natural sweetness of the fruit, enhancing the warm and spicy notes of the terroir.
A deep-rooted and sustainable agricultural project
Hom Hoh is not just a farm, but a community-based agricultural model. Manop and his cooperative's work enhances local biodiversity and guarantees fair working conditions for producers. The agroforestry approach actively contributes to the protection of soil, water, and the natural environment, with a vision that unites tradition and the future.
Forest, fruit, precision
Thailand: Hom Hoh Naturale is a coffee that combines aromatic intensity, authenticity, and sustainability. In the cup, it expresses itself with great richness: milk chocolate, cherry, plum, and hazelnut, with a hint of spicy pepper and a fresh finish of berries.
A cup that speaks of forest, community, and craftsmanship. For those who love authentic coffees, full of nuance and rooted in the land.
