A natural Brazilian with a classic and enveloping profile

San Rafael is born in the Cerrado Mineiro region, one of Brazil's most established areas for producing quality coffee. Here, at altitudes between 800 and 1,300 meters, the stable climate and clearly defined seasons allow for uniform ripening of the cherries, favoring rounded and structured profiles.

The Catuai and Mundo Novo varieties, historically rooted in Brazil, contribute to a solid and consistent cup, where sweetness and body are the protagonists. The combination of terroir and natural process creates a coffee with a strong chocolatey character, designed to offer balance and aromatic continuity.

Natural process: sweetness and structure

The traditional natural process involves drying whole cherries immediately after harvest. The cherries are spread out in the open air and left to dry slowly, allowing the sugars in the pulp to gradually transfer to the fruit.

During this stage, the fruit evolves progressively, developing riper notes and a more concentrated sweetness than washed coffees. Controlled drying preserves stability and uniformity, maintaining a clean and distinct structure.

The result is a rounded aromatic profile, with contained acidity, medium body and a soft and enveloping texture.

Cocoa, dried fruit and depth

In the cup, notes of raisins and dried fruit emerge, followed by an intense note of cocoa and dark chocolate. The sweetness is consistent and well-distributed, with a long, slightly toasted finish.

The acidity is low and well-integrated, the body is medium, with a smooth and linear mouthfeel. The structure is stable, designed to offer everyday drinkability without losing its character.

A coffee for those seeking comfort and solidity

San Rafael Natural is ideal for espresso extractions, where it best expresses its chocolatey notes and roundness. It also lends itself well to moka pots and preparations that enhance body and sweetness.

A classic, reassuring, and consistent coffee that conveys Brazil's most traditional side through a balanced and easily digestible cup.
